Ladies, gentlemen, and lotads, prepare for the next generation of Pokemon. Pokemon X and Y are coming to the Nintendo 3DS in October.
In the case of Pokemon Black/White for the Nintendo DS, new information was fed to us slowly with teaser images. Not this time. Information about Pokemon X and Y came roaring into the world via a Nintendo Direct video, complete with translated names for the starters.
There's still a great deal we don't know at this point, but it's certain that the environments will be polygon-based and fully 3D. Pokemon battles look to be fully animated, too. Oh, and Pikachu will be making an appearance. Surprise!
Finally, someone at Game Freak and/or Nintendo appears to be a Coldplay fan.
