Before pocket-sized digital cameras were widespread, Nintendo offered up the chance to turn any Game Boy system into a camera with the Game Boy Camera attachment. The Game Boy Camera let you snap low-resolution photos, which you could then edit and print in delightful shades of beige and creamed spinach.
While the Game Boy Camera is unbelievably low tech by today's standards, it was an interesting invention that found a niche audience in the late '90s. One Game Boy Camera owner called "80sArcade" recently re-discovered the accessory with some old photos intact. If you're like me and you have a thing for old portable accessories, you should definitely take a look at how things were done in the days before cameras were jammed into everything (including the DSi and 3DS)!
