Nintendo and Apple don't often cross into each others' territories, but we live in a weird, changeable world. Japan is getting an iOS Pokedex. It's 170 yen (about $2 USD) and is packed with Pokemon information relating to the Unova region in Pokemon Black/White. The Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh regions are sold separately at 500 yen (about $6) each.
Is this the start of a relationship between Nintendo and the App Store? Don't count on it. For one thing, the Pokemon Company is a subsidiary of Nintendo, and it has released an iOS app before. Still, as I said, it's a weird, changeable world we live in, so who knows?
