What happens when you chop a Nintendo Direct video announcement into little pieces? You get a Nintendo Direct Mini! Earlier today, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime addressed Nintendo faithfuls about downloadable content (DLC) that's coming later this week for New Super Mario Bros 2. To be more specific, you'll be able to download additional content for the game by way of three packs.
The "Gold Rush" pack turns you into Gold Mario and lets you go wild collecting coins. Your mission is to reach a tally of 30,000.
The "Coin Challenge Pack A" lets you compete for a high score on the game's online leader boards.
And the "Nerve-Wrack Pack" contains three ultra-tough stages that are designed for Mario veterans only (yes, that is totally a challenge).
Each pack is available on October 4, and costs $2.50 USD to download. According to Reggie, more DLC is coming at the end of October and November.
