According to a Tweet from Nintendo of America, Animal Crossing for the Nintendo 3DS (official name pending) will make landfall in North America sometime during the first half of 2013.
Reactions have been mixed. On one hand--New Animal Crossing! On the other hand, we're not looking at a release until late winter or early spring next year.
A new trailer for the game made an appearance at the Nintendo Direct Conference earlier today. Take a look. You might recognize some old friends.
