Earlier this week, I wrote about a countdown site from Square-Enix that teases the possibility of a sequel to the DS RPG The World Ends With You. There're still a couple of days left on the counter, but Square-Enix accidentally blew at least part of its surprise with a product announcement for an upcoming album. The announcement, which has since been pulled (but the Internet acts quickly!), makes mention of remixed tracks for an iOS re-release of The World Ends With You.
So do our hopes for a WEWY sequel likewise End with this leak? Maybe not. Brian Gray, a translator for Square-Enix, hinted via his Twitter account that we should all just sit tight and wait for the countdown to finish before we wallow in disappointment.
Sound advice--but gosh, waiting is hard.
