Of all the new game series born in the past five years or so, Warner Bros' Scribblenauts probably gets the "Most Improved Student" award. While the series' start was a bit shaky, it's since come into its own--which is great, because they're such happy, imaginative games.
Maxwell's notebook saga continues with Scribblenauts Unlimited, which is coming to both the Nintendo 3DS and the Wii U later this year. As usual, you use Maxwell's notebook to come up with any object you can think of, and then you use that object to interact with the environment and solve puzzles. What's really interesting is that the 3DS version of the game utilizes StreetPass to exchange puzzle solutions with random passers-by.
