There's no question that Apple's iPod Touch/iPhone has a comfortable position in the handheld gaming market, but Apple CEO Steve Jobs claims a bigger chunk than anyone imagined--50% of the market, to be precise.
At Apple's fall 2010 keynote event, Jobs announced that, worldwide, the iPod Touch alone outsells the Nintendo DS and the Sony PSP combined. That's the iPod Touch alone; the iPhone no doubt piles a handful of units on top of that claim, as the iPhone 4 sold over 3 million units in the month following its June 24 release.
Mind that these figures don't exactly spell doom for Nintendo and Sony, as the iPhone and iPod Touch aren't necessarily bought primarily for gaming, as the Nintendo DS tends to be. But if you're uneasy and having trouble deciding which handheld system you should drop your money on, here are 5 reasons you should buy a Nintendo DS instead of an iPhone, iPod Touch, or PSP!
