Nintendo's consoles have always been renowned for their durability. But last Friday, a photographer named Chris captured a piece of Nintendo hardware undergoing a true acid test: a Nintendo DS in the hands of a gorilla at the San Francisco Zoo.
Chris, who runs a photography blog called Spicuzza Photo a Day, happened to be on-hand when a little boy dropped his Nintendo DS into the zoo's gorilla enclosure. One of the males in the enclosure picked up the DS and studied it intently before a juvenile came by and demanded his own turn at the system.
The boy got his Nintendo DS back. It was a little beat-up and had been slobbered on, but it still worked well. The gorilla never did figure out how to play it. Maybe it was too small. A Nintendo DSi XL might've proven more manageable for the big primate.
