'Animal Crossing 3DS' Will Cast the Player as the Mayor

How many times have you cursed the politicians in charge of your city? Do you think you can do better? When Animal Crossing hits the Nintendo 3DS, you may well gain a chance to prove it.

A GoNintendo reader named Wiiaredeep was reading over one of Nintendo's E3 press releases and came upon an interesting bit of information many of us seem to have missed:

" In Animal Crossing, players move out on their own to live a life of ease in a village of walking, talking animals. But this time around, unexpected circumstances suddenly put the player in the role of Mayor in a town they've only just arrived in. With the help of the many unique townsfolk and one eager secretary, players will enjoy making their new town a better place for all to live in."

What circumstances put you in charge of a new town that's always been lorded over by Mayor Tortimer? Who knows, but keep in mind that not even turtles can live forever...
