While systems like the Xbox, Playstation 2 and Gamecube helped drive console games deeper into the third dimension, the Game Boy Advance nurtured the Rockman Zero series (Mega Man Zero in the U.S.) and gamers that 2D games were still worth conquering.
It appears the second dimension isn't dead yet, either. News about a Rockman Zero collection coming to the Nintendo DS is stirring up a lot of excitement amongst fans of the series, which boasted a difficulty level that sometimes bordered on masochistic.
All four games will be included in one DS card, and will hit Japan on April 22 for 3,990 yen (about $44.00 USD). No word yet on what extra content will be included, if any, nor has there been any confirmation that the game is coming to North America. Don't lose hope, Maverick Hunters; chances are good we'll see the collection eventually.
